Part Warranty Information!

How can you find out about important part warranty information? If you need to have a repair done on one of your household appliances or even if you hire someone to come in and do the repairs, it may require you to buy replacement parts. These replacement parts typically come from the manufacturer.

When you order replacement parts from the manufacturer, the part itself will have some type of warranty on it as well. The type of warranty will vary according to the part and the appliance. In some cases, you may automatically be covered and in other cases, you may have to send in a warranty card to register the part for warranty coverage.

Be sure you read and understand all the fine print included with your part as there are also things that you can do which will void the warranty on the appliance or on the part itself. There are sometimes certain stipulations that come with the part for the warranty to be valid. For example, in some cases, it must be installed by a professional before the use of the part can be under warranty. In other cases, the part itself is covered, no matter who installs it.
